Refund of Difference between Fares

If your class of service has been downgraded at the initiative of the Airline, you may refund your air ticket and issue new ticket with Economy Class fare that is available at the moment of request. Moreover, part of your carriage may be refunded.

If passenger travelled in Economy class by Business class ticket, the difference between the paid and used fare is refunded, i.e. the difference between the fares.

You may refund the difference between fares anytime within the period of validity of air ticket, but no earlier than the carriage is complete:

  1. In ticketing office of the agency, where the ticket was originally issued;
  2. In the airline, if the air ticket was bought in Internet shop of the Airline by filing the application.

Important!
Using Economy class fare, passenger reserves the right to use services with enhanced comfort – business lounge and free baggage allowance according to the paid Business class fare. Thus, while calculating sum of refund the following rules are applied:

  1. Changing class of service for «roundtrip» tickets:
    • Ticket is bought according to the fare DEE1M:
      DEE1M – WEE45D = difference to be paid,
      where WEE45D – used fare.
    • Ticket is bought according to the fare CEE2M:
      CEE2M – YEE2M = difference to be paid,
      where YEE2M – used fare.
  2. Changing class of service for «outbound» or «inbound» flights:
    • Ticket is bought according to the fare DEE1M:
      (DEE1M:2) – (WEE45D:2) = difference to be paid,
      where ½ WEE45D – used fare.
    • Ticket is bought according to the fare CEE2M:
      (CEE2M:2) – (YEE2M:2) = difference to be paid,
      where ½ YEE2M – used fare.
  3. Calculation of refund for air tickets issued according to the fare OW (one-way) at downgrade:
    • Ticket is bought according to the fare D:
      D – W = difference to be paid,
      where W – used fare.
    • Ticket is bought according to the fare C:
      C – Y = difference to be paid,
      where Y – used fare.

Refund of Difference in Agency Ticket Offices:

Important!
Refunding the difference, the Agent may at its sole discretion establish and collect service (agent) fee.

Difference in fares may be refunded by Passenger, if air ticket was issued in his name, or by his representative under notarized power of attorney.

You shall provide:

  • passport;
  • for the passenger representative: notarized power of attorney;
  • if any: passenger coupon of paper ticket, itinerary of e-ticket with relevant remark of the company’s officer (Airline representative, shift supervisor, transit dispatcher) on downgrade of service class at a certain flight segment verified by stamp.

Refund of difference in fares in the Airline:

Difference in fares of e-tickets may be refunded by Passenger, if air ticket was issued in his name, or by his representative under notarized power of attorney.

The refunded amounts are remitted to the bank that issued the card used for payment of e-ticket within 5-7 working days.*

*Period of money transfer to the bank card account depends on the issuing bank.

The Application for the Refund is deemed accepted by the Airline provided that:

  • set of documents has all necessary documents;
  • application is filed according to the stated procedure.

Important!
Application for the refund is considered within 2 hours from the moment of its receiving during specialist’s working hours.

Working hours of specialists of Internet shop: 6 a.m. till 6 p.m. (Moscow time). Saturday, Sunday – lunch break 11 a.m. till 12 a.m. (Moscow time).

Original refund request shall be sent to the following address:
